I am broadly interested in the intersection of computing, optimization, and politics. Some specific areas of interest include cyberspace's impact on international relations, critical infrastructure security, effective policy implementation, and elections. I spend much of my free time reading, often non-fiction books or news publications. I am deeply passionate about learning, and I consider consulting to be a learning opportunity for me as much as it is for my clients. My advice to anyone feeling unsure about booking a CAPC appointment may be blemished by the bias of my position. But, I can say that I have always come out of consultations (in which I am the client) feeling more confident about whatever project for which I had sought guidance.
