Hey! I'm Morgan, a Ph.D. candidate in the history department, currently working on my dissertation, "The Native Image in the Black Mind: African American Perceptions of Native American Identity in the Long Nineteenth-Century United States." I graduated from Carleton College in 2021 with a B.A. in History and a Spanish minor, and I've been at Rice since 2022. When I'm not working on my research, I love to travel, listen to podcasts, read fiction, and meet as many dogs as possible!
