Hi everyone! My name is Lucas and I’m so excited to join the CAPC after spending a good deal of time working with the awesome consultants on papers, graduate school applications, and scholarship essays (we’re here for everything, really). I’m a rising junior at McMurtry studying Math and English (creative writing concentration), plus I’m in earning my Master of Arts in Teaching through the Glasscock School. Around Rice, I’m also a PAA and an undergraduate representative on the University Committee on Teaching. My favorite ways to de-stress are by enjoying a caffeinated beverage, lifting weights, and reading any book I can get my hands on. As a consultant, I’m here to help you organize all your writing chaos—from nailing down those pesky theses to creating stunning conclusions. I especially love working with students on writing assignments that are creative and personal to them, because I get to help students showcase how unique and interesting they are. I’ve also taken my fair share of STEM classes, giving me the skills to assist with your technical writing needs too.
