CAPC Consultant, Alyssa

Hello, my name is Alyssa, and I am looking forward to another year of collaboration at the CAPC as a returning consultant! I aim to make our sessions productive while recognizing any related stress or anxiety—whether we are trying to overcome a blank page or thinking of ways to create an environment more conducive to focus. Outside of the Fondren 2nd floor mezzanine, I serve as an ambassador for the Medical Humanities Department as well as the Historians Committee Chair and Head Academic Fellow at Sid. I currently am an off-campus senior with majors in Health Sciences and English and a Medical Humanities minor. My multidisciplinary coursework and lived experience as an immigrant from the Philippines have led me to pursue public health advocacy and research, which I hope to continue in graduate school. During my leisure time, I enjoy exploring hole-in-the-wall coffee shops, visiting my local library to borrow more books than I could possibly read, and watching Asian dramas. Thank you for entrusting me with your work, and welcome to the CAPC!
