CAPC Assistant Director Jacob Herrmann

Jacob Herrmann became the Assistant Director in the Center for Academic and Professional Communication (CAPC) in 2019. He manages the day-to-day operations of the communication consultant program, including communication consultant hiring, training, and professional development. He holds an Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Kansas. Jacob has been working in writing centers since 2012, previously serving as an Administrative Intern, Workshop Coordinator, and Graduate Consultant. His research interests include writing center theory and practice, multi-modal literacy, spatial theory, and LGBTQ+ identity politics, as well as maintaining an interest in medieval and early modern literature. Currently, he is working on a publication on teaching media literacy to first-year college students.
