PWC Lecturer Vasudha Bharadwaj

Vasudha Bharadwaj received her PhD in English and History from the University of Rochester, where her dissertation focused on the political rhetoric surrounding the English language in late colonial India. She taught writing for over six years at the University of Rochester, and was a Lecturer of History in the State University of New York at Albany. Her postdoctoral project at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zurich in Switzerland extended her work on the sociopolitical implications of the use of English to early postcolonial India. Her ongoing research and writing are on the relationship of language, social justice, and identity, using the lens of the English language in a non-native setting.
