Laura K. Richardson is a Lecturer in the Program in Writing and Communication and the Course Director of the FWIS 100 program. She's been teaching at Rice for over ten years and was an RA at Lovett from 2016-2022. Her scholarship explores literary modernism, contemporary literature, film studies, and science fiction and has been published in Textual Practice, The Harold Pinter Review, and The Many Facades of Edith Sitwell. Laura also writes creatively - her novel manuscript was a finalist in the 2024 Writers League of Texas Manuscript Competition, and her short fiction was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2023.
