Hi! I'm Heather, a PhD student in the English Department at Rice. My research interests revolve around multispecies studies, Marxist theory, and feminist understandings of care, affect, and intimacy within contemporary literature and cinema.

Before I started at Rice, I got my MSc in Political Theory from the London School of Economics, and my BA in Politics and International Relations from Queen Mary, University of London. I am looking forward to meeting you at a CAPC consultation, and assisting you with whatever you are working on!
