Kelly Kim is the Associate Director of Visual Communication at the Center for Academic and Professional Communication (CAPC). Her primary responsibilities include developing visual communication support for the Rice community including students, faculty, and campus-wide initiatives and programs. Kelly holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering with focus on Neuroengineering from Rice University. With experience in scientific visualization and research communication, she brings an interdisciplinary perspective to creating effective visuals. She is especially interested in creating accessible and intuitive visuals that communicate complex ideas, and often enjoys incorporating hand drawn figures into her work.
