Hi! I'm Maddie, and I'm a PhD student in the English department. I research Gothic literature, with a focus on 20th century U.S. literature, race, feminist and queer theory, and histories and theories of domesticity. I particularly enjoy reading and writing about haunted houses. Outside of my research, I like to go on runs in Buffalo Bayou park and take walks with my dog, Phoebe.
