Statement of Research Interests

I study apocalyptic poetics across poetry, novels, and films from around the world after 1945. I look at the ways the idea of the end of the world has changed over time and the ways that certain "local apocalypses" have been visited upon various populations.

Statement of Teaching Philosophy

I believe that students should have autonomy in determining the terms of educational relationships. I prefer pedagogical methods which foster accessibility, communication, and collaboration.
